A Zoom Group success story—Buddy Crawford

Posted by coomes on November 29th, 2011 at 3:26 pm

When William “Buddy” Crawford came to Zoom Group’s St. Mathews Day Program in 2010, it was immediately clear he’d fit right in.

Friendly and fun, Buddy quickly developed several close and personal relationships with his peers and became a vocal leader within his group. Not shy about leading others toward activities he likes and wants to share with them, Buddy often suggests sites and venues for group trips and activities.

He’s also is an athlete, playing softball for the Pitt Goldenbears and becoming a team silver medalist at the Kentucky Special Olympics in the summer of 2011. It’s also no secret to those who know him that Buddy is quite the University of Louisville fan.

Buddy recently began working at UPS Supply Chain Solutions sorting and shipping cellular phone batteries for Sprint Telecommunications. Not only is he clearly proud to be earning his own paycheck, the chance to serve in a professional workplace has helped him come into his own over the past year.

Success stories like Buddy’s would not be possible without so many such investments into the lives of Zoom Group clients. Those donations not only help Buddy and peers like him make significant contributions to our community, they allow these valued people to achieve new levels of personal growth.

Congratulations on a great 2011, Buddy! We’re glad you’re a part of Zoom Group!
