A note and a few pics from Anna Bodart, director of Day Programs at Garden House …
While on our way to a nearby park this week, a group from Garden House got sidetracked by a sign reading, “Whitehall, House and Gardens,” so we decided to pull in to see what it was about.
To our surprise we discovered a gorgeous house set far away from Lexington Road and amid acres of beautifully manicured gardens and lawns.
We walked around and saw many different types of gardens and learned about Whitehall’s rich history here.
We plan to visit often and enjoy the gardens year round.
Today a group from Brown-Forman dropped off a planter barrel filled with decorative flowers at Garden House. The gesture, they told us, was part of their Earth Day project.
We have it proudly sitting on the ramp going up to the front door so that anyone who visits will see it.
We truly appreciate their thoughtfulness!
