Multisensory environment provides room with soothing views

Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel: The Milwaukee Center for Independence has created an elaborate multisensory room designed to help children and adults with developmental and cognitive disabilities. Using lights, sound and with attention to surface aesthetics, the groundbreaking “sensory cafeteria” is expected to serve the city’s people with autism, cognitive disabilities, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and brain injuries.
