It’s been a while since the animals at Henry’s Ark got a visit from the gang at the Garden House, so we decided to pay the animals there a visit.

Henry’s Ark is a non-profit zoo operated on a farm in Prospect on Rose Island Road. The zoo features a wide array of exotic and domestic animals that are bought at auction, donated or rescued, and then allowed to live out their days peacefully in spacious and safe confines. The zoo runs on donations from visitors and is open year round.

Of course, we packed up some treats for the animals, such as carrots and bread, and the clients loved having the animals come greet them—or perhaps the animals were just after their treats. Either way, it was a fun visit.

After leaving Henry’s ark, we drove to Waterfront Park for a picnic lunch under some trees. The sunshine and the perfect view of the Ohio River made for a great afternoon out.
