Zoom Group has announced the July 9 appointment of Kim Prather as director of programs.
Prather’s 12 years in community and mental health services began as a DSP with a non-profit agency in Indiana, where she later was promoted to waiver case manager. She worked there until 2006 until joining the team at the Community Living, Inc. Agency as a case manager, serving clients with the Department of Mental Health. There, she was promoted to senior case manager and program director of residential services in 2010. In that role, she directly supervised 10 house managers who managed direct care staff. She also managed training and staff development.
“I am truly excited to be here,” Prather said. “I look forward to contributing my talents to an already creative and diversified program that has a very positive reputation in our community.”
Prather has lived in Kentucky since 1982, and after graduating Oldham County High School in 1984, she joined the United States Army and served in Munich with a postal company. She twice received the Army Achievement Medal twice before leaving the Army 1988.
In addition to her love of dogs, boating and fishing, “I spend as much time as I can with family and friends.”
Welcome to the team, Kim!
